How to Download Recordings for Safeguarding Purposes

Lessonspace recordings are available online and can only be viewed through our dedicated playback viewer. However, in certain cases, an MP4 file of the recording may be required for safeguarding or legal purposes. Here’s how to obtain a recording in that format.

How to Get an MP4 File of a Lesson Recording:

To create a synced recording of a lesson, you will need to use screen recording software. Here’s a simple guide:

1. Start your screen recording software to capture both your screen and audio.
2. Open the Lessonspace playback viewer and begin playing the recording.
3. The screen recorder will capture the entire playback, including both video and audio, and create an MP4 file.

How to Download Lessonspace Recordings:

You can download individual video and audio streams for each participant following a technical process outlined in our documentation. Please note:

• Only individual video and audio streams are available as separate MP4 files.
• Each participant’s video, audio, and screen-sharing streams will be saved independently, meaning the files will not be synced.
• This method will not include whiteboard or tab content.
