Getting Started with Lessonspace
Now you're just about ready to use Lessonspace to host live lessons with your Thinkific Site subscribers!
You can have a look at our Getting Started Guide for more info on creating spaces and sharing links with your students but the best way to use Lessonspace with Thinkific is through Multimedia Lessons.
Here's how:
Step 1 - Create a Space through Lessonspace
Before you can have a live online lesson, you need to create a Space to host that lesson. Think of it as your online classroom.
Once you have logged into your Lessonspace account you can create a new space by clicking on Spaces in the left-hand panel. Then create a New Space by clicking on the button on the right. See the image below for more details:
Make sure you name your Space appropriately based on the lesson it's for, so you can remember which one it is in future.
Step 2 - Create a Multimedia Lesson through Thinkific
You'll need to create a multimedia lesson on your Thinkific site. Thinkific has a great article explaining how to do that here.
Three things to keep in mind when creating your multimedia lesson:
- Include any important lesson info (date/time etc.) in the lesson title
- Make sure Use externally hosted content is selected
- Add your Space link as the URL for your lesson (see how to get the Space link here)
Step 3 - Prepare for your lesson
Now all you need to do is prepare for your live online lesson!
Spaces in Lessonspace save automatically, so you can prepare text or drawings, or upload content ahead of time and it'll all be there as soon as you and your students join the lesson.
If you're not sure what you can do during live sessions have a look at our Space Features to learn more about what's possible with Lessonspace.
