My student's audio is muffled or hard to hear

If you hear the other participant's audio, but the audio quality is poor or the sound is muffled, there are a couple of things you can do to fix the issue.

First, reload the Space on both your and the other participant's side. Both of you will need to reload the page in the browser.

Secondly, make sure that the student uses headphones. This can prevent the microphone to pick up any background noise. They can change their audio and microphone source in the Device Setup menu. 

Thirdly, try turning Advanced Noise Cancellation on or off. It can happen that the noise reduction picks up the speaker's voice as noise and filters it out if not close enough to the microphone. 

We encourage users to use headphones to prevent any audio or microphone issues, but in the majority of cases, a quick reload will fix most issues.
