Adding tabs (whiteboards) to Breakout Rooms

  1. You can drag and drop your tabs (whiteboards or document tabs) to breakout rooms.

The video clip below shows how to move participants and content between breakout rooms in the Breakout Manager. When Apply Changes is clicked, participants and content are moved to their respective breakout rooms.

Moving between Breakout Rooms as a teacher

You (as a leader/tutor) may join an individual breakout room by opening the People menu (click the chat bubble icon, then click on People) and clicking the Join button. You may also join a room by dragging your name to the room that you want to join.

📌 Tip: Participants can also be moved between rooms by clicking and dragging their names.

Student management and monitoring

In the People menu, the Leader can view the video feeds of all users on one screen, to easily spot shenanigans.

📌 Tip: Grab a student's video to drag them into the main room to explain an exercise or to ask them to pay attention. Then drag and drop them back to their room.

Making announcements and sending messages

Access the chat functions in the Breakout Manager to communicate with participants within breakout rooms from the Main Room.

  1. Make Announcement: sends a chat message to all participants in all rooms.
  2. Breakout Room Chat: sends a chat message to the specific room.

Recording Breakout Rooms

If your organization has enabled recordings, breakout room activities will be automatically recorded across all rooms, even when the Leader is not present. During playback, you can switch between different breakout rooms or choose to follow a specific user by selecting them in the bottom right corner.
