Setting up and sharing password protected recordings

Lesson recordings are an additional benefit to online tutoring. They can be used for lesson reviews, quality assurance, or shared with students who may have had to skip the lesson.

This article explains how you can set up and share (password-protected) public recordings on Lessonspace.

Settings to check:

  1. Make sure that you have enabled recordings, as shown here.
  2. Make sure that the Space where the lesson takes place allows for recordings (as it can be overridden to disallow recordings even if the org setting is on)
  3. Recording access policy: Make sure that the roles you'd like (e.g. teachers, students) are enabled in the lesson recording policy (note: this can be unique on a per-space basis)

Once you have a recording ready to be shared, on the sessions page for recordings, click "Accessible by":

Here, add a password (you can generate one, or you can use one password for multiple recordings) and Save:

Once you share a recording (along with the password), users will be prompted to add the password when opening the playback:
