How will my first session work?

Lessonspace is a video conferencing tool for online education. It's designed to enhance a student's online learning experience with a collaborative whiteboard that makes it easy to teach things like STEM (with a big focus on Math) and language. It's an online platform that makes you feel like you're having an in-person lesson.

Here's a quick video guide on how your first session will work:

Learn how to have your best online lesson by following the guide:

Creating the Space:

Teachers: you need to send your Space link, which looks something like this: https://www.thelessonspace.com/space/.... to your student. At the time of your lesson, you simply both follow that link to join the same Space.
Students: Your tutor will send you a link to their room, which looks something like this: https://www.thelessonspace.com/space/.... At the time of your lesson, you simply follow that link to join the same Space.

Technical setup:

Use Google Chrome: To access Lessonspace we recommend using the newest version of Google Chrome on a laptop or computer, click here to download.

Get your microphone and camera working: When joining a Space, you'll first arrive in the Lobby to test and adjust your microphone and camera settings. If you're having problems with your microphone or camera then follow the steps outlined in our troubleshooting guide.

Joining the session:

Join: When you're ready, click Join. You'll arrive in the Space and see the other participants.

Prepare a lesson:

Join a Space beforehand and prepare a lesson: As a teacher, you can join a Space before your lesson to upload and prepare all the teaching material you wish to use.

Use all the Lessonspace features to make your lesson “better than in-person”: We've worked hard to try and make the Spaces and features as simple and easy to use as possible, so don’t be scared to just try them and see what works for you. Learn more about the Space Features here
